I don’t live here anymore, but coming home and feeling like I’m home no matter how long I’ve been gone is something special. This place has that old Hawaii energy, the one we romanticize. Everyone is smiling. Kids and kapuna sharing space. Good made with love. Glad I decided to pop in. Will be back.
Very friendly staff with great suggestions. We ended up going in a Karaoke night, met a lot of locals and the were all just as friendly. Great food, and you have to try the Mauka to Makai nachos and the Boozy Purse, Mango drink. Just make sure you have a designated driver.
We had delicious food here! We recommend the appetizer Pupu Steak, Calamari bites, and side of smoked meat brussel sprouts. Mel C. was a terrific server and very friendly. We came at about 3:00 pm, so it wasn't their busiest time. We want to come back and try their desserts and other dishes! It is a wonderful new restaurant on the west side! You do have to be able to climb stairs as it is on the second floor, however this does give a non-obstructed view of the ocean!
I did an order online and the food was amazing. Everything was flavorful and cooked to perfection. I got the rib eye with sweet potato puree, truffle mac n cheese, and a Cesar salad. I’m definitely going to come back and dine in.
Pupu steak, poke nachos, French onion soup, crispy chicken sandwich, truffle fries, homemade ranch, crab dip and cocktails were all top tier. Nightly music. Will definitely be recommending to anyone heading west side for a day trip, and will personally be making a point to stop here every time I drive by. Drink menu was and there were fun “boozy bags” that made me wish It wasn’t Sunday
We sat at the bar. The bartender was great and very friendly. I had the fish tacos MP, and they had almost no breading (bonus). 3 tacos, light, crisp, and tasty with a great hand chopped pineapple salsa and cabbage slaw. The burger was ok. MW was well, and shoestring fries were boring. Next time, the chicken sandwich. Definitely the tacos over and over. Good food and good prices, with a clear view of the beach and ocean. After you hike all of Kai'ana point (6 miles round trip), it's nice to have a tasty meal, adult beverage, and A/C.
This was our first time at Lanterns, so we didn't know what to expect. The hostess was very kind and accommodating. The food was absolutely amazing. And the portions were plentiful. We really enjoyed ourselves, and now we have a new place added to our go to list of places to eat.
Really loved it. The Waiter Kaiini was so much fun and attentive. General Manager Whitney was so lovely and helpful. A favorite for your entire family.
